ABOUT PHANTOM’S LIST

Phantom’s List began in early 2008 as a “list” of purchaseable notecards that you could buy inworld under the name “SLBest.”  SLBest had the same purpose – to give consumers a choice of the very best producers in SL, something no one gets relying on the Search tool unless they had time to sift through sims inflated by bot and camper traffic.

Upgrades came, and Linden Labs informed residents to remove “SL” from their business names (due to trademark violations), and eventually notecards turned to in-world HUD books, and the name changed to “Phantom’s List.”  In April of 2009, a decision was made to migrate the list to the blog — the plethora of fashion blogs making in-world books and magazines obsolete and unprofitable.  Currently, we’re working on updating existing lists and migrating them to his blog.

What hasn’t changed is it’s purpose — to provide interested SL residents with a list of the cream of the crop of SL content creators, sorted by content-type.
